I think he means SLOW carb rather than no carb. Replace white bread with whole grain. Replace white rice with brown. Eat Triscuits instead of saltines. Eat 1 portion with each meal. Plenty of vegetables, enough protein for your body weight, limited fruits (don’t load up on fruit all day), and healthy fats like olive oil, walnuts, avocados.

Look for the South Beach Diet.

no potatoes, no pasta, bread, Check the nutrition label and you will find out how many carbs are in something. There is the south beach diet. Its. a book. They cut all carbs for 2 weeks then you can start introducing carbs back into your dies. Meat had little carbs in it. You can buy carb free bread.

A few years ago, I tried a low carb diet. That consisted of mainly protein and fat, with a few fruits and veggies here and there. I lost over 20 pounds (also cause I exercised). But I felt really dizzy and my thinking was murky. So, I just shied away from sugary, processed foods. You know, junk foods. I would avoid that low carb diet, eat normally, and just avoid breads and junk foods. It would also help if you quit drinking milk and other sugary drinks.

You should try Suzanne Sommers ‘Somersize’. Its LOW carb, not NO carb, so its really easy. Get her book called Eat Great Lose Weight.
It seriously works.

Atkins, South Beach, Zone… Low-carb diets are still fairly popular so you’ll find a lot of info on them. Ediets.com has some low-carb diet plans & lowcarbluxury.com has some recipes.
Making a good protein smoothie might help you.
If this is a diabetic diet, you have more considerations than this. I’m surprised your doctor would advise you to start a low-carb diet without giving you any resources. You might want to speak with a nutritionist before beginning.
