Low carb diet?
About how long would it take for me to lose 15-20 pounds on a low carb diet?
I was eating a well balanced diet and had a lot of success on it. Unfortunately, I got off track and gained all that weight back. I don’t feel motivated to eat healthy at my current weight so I want to get it off fast and then go back to my healthy eating plan.
I’m currently 140 and 5’4". I feel awful like this. How many carbs can I eat per day to lose it fast? Is 100 carbs too much? Also, I can’t exercise right now because I have a leg injury (which contributed to the weight gain)

65% of your diet should come from carbs, so low carb diets do not work as well as you think they do. You have no idea what you can be doing to you body when on a low-carb diet.

for the first 2 weeks no carbs per day. After that do not exceed 30 carbs per day. That is a true low carb diet. The weight comes off quickly, the longer you remain on it the slower the weight comes off. It’s also perfect since you are unable to excercise right now.

Low carb wont work. Look at skinny people you aspire to, they eat all the sandwhiches/pasta/ cake in the world! Lol!
The real key to success is low fat.
For Eg:
Breakfast: Weetabix x 2 with semi skimmed milk , 1 tsp of sugar, tea/coffee/whatever. 260 kcal 4.4g of fat
Snack: Apple 0.5g of fat, 60 kcal
Lunch: Tuna in a tortalia roll with salad, Bannana. 385kcal 4g of fat
Snack: Yogurt ( low fat) 100kcal 0.9g of fat
Dinner: Tomato soup with Crusty bread. 250kcal 4g of fat
13.8g of fat around 1055kcal..
